![]() So if you're doing cheesy things like sniping the bots/turrets from a distance with a human-controlled mortar bot and thus forcing the AI to pay to rebuild it, it will drain their resources so they can't spend as much on things like top-level bots. The AI doesn't have inifinite resources per timeslice, only infinite resources over the entire battle. ![]() Kind of run through a quick battle on the map, if it wasn't going well restart it and use the knowledge of how the AI reacted to abuse their weaknesses the next go around. I think I also abused the "restart the battle from scratch with no penality" feature a little too much too, which is why I found it easier. Which is pretty much the opposite of how you'd play a 'modern' RTS. Basically building things to survive an ememy wave long enough with minimal casualties that the repair units could heal them up enough to survive the next wave. In general I do tend to play a very turtley defensive game minimising losses so heavy on the armour, slow chasis, repairers, and taking over the a bot to 'snipe' specific enemy targets was high on my list. It has been quite a few years since I last played the game unfortunately, but I'm looking to grab this and will hopefully remember to post here after I get a few battles in to remember the strategy.
